Or, before heading out to explore St. Pauli's nightlife, you can have a drink there and discuss how you'll spend your free time. We deliberately designed our lounge area to combine the ambiance of a coffee shop and a bar for our guests.

The wonderful aroma of our coffee will even awaken the sleepiest of spirits. Every morning, we prepare a delicious and well-balanced buffet with a wide selection. Enjoy a hearty meal of cold cuts, cheeses, rolls, bread, jams, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, yogurt, muesli, fresh fruit, and much more. We also offer cappuccino, espresso, café crème, hot chocolate, milk, water, filter coffee, juices, and more. We've thought of both early birds and late risers.

To reach our underground car park (€16 per night/car), come from Simon-von-Utrecht-Straße (parallel to the Reeperbahn), turn left onto Talstraße, and then immediately right onto Schmuckstraße. Continue along Schmuckstraße until you turn left into the next driveway (inconspicuous between house numbers 11 and 13), drive to the end of this driveway, and the underground car park is on your right.

We offer additional car parking spaces (€16 per night/car) in the courtyard directly in front of the hotel (please note: the street Große Freiheit is closed to cars from 8 pm to 6 am).
Getting to the St. Joseph Hotel Hamburg
By car: You can reach us from the south via the A7 motorway from Hanover and the A1 from Bremen, following the signs for "Hamburg Centrum". From the motorway, you will be directed onto Amsinckstraße, which becomes Ost-West-Straße. At Millerntor, turn onto Reeperbahn, at the end of which Große Freiheit branches off to the right.
You can reach us by S-Bahn (suburban train) on lines S1 or S3, getting off at the "Reeperbahn" station. The street Große Freiheit is signposted from the S-Bahn station. Tickets and timetable information are available online at HVV. The HVV app is considered very helpful by both tourists and residents.
Plane / Train: There are plenty of flight and train connections to Hamburg. At the airport, take the S1 suburban train to Reeperbahn station.
Please note that the Große Freiheit is closed daily from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am.
