The three most common questions
Check-In and Check-Out
The room is available from 3:00 p.m. on the day of arrival and until 12:00 a.m. on the day of departure. We look on site to see if we can give you a room before 3 p.m. However, this depends on the availability at the time and cannot be guaranteed. If a room is available, you can move into your room immediately for a small fee of 10.00 EUR.
For late risers we offer a late check-out until 2:00 p.m. If possible, this should already be booked when making the reservation (fee 20.00 EUR), but at the latest when checking in.
Breakfast
The wonderful aroma of our coffee also cheers up tired spirits. Every morning we prepare a delicious and balanced buffet with a large selection for you. Eat your fill of the large selection of sausages, cheese, bread rolls, bread, fruit spread, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, yoghurt, muesli, fresh fruit and much more. We also have cappuccino, espresso, café crème, milk choc, milk, water, filter coffee, juices ... We thought of early risers as well as late risers. Breakfast is included in all room prices.

Car parking
Underground car park: Our underground car park (€ 12.00 per night / car) can be reached via "Simon-von-Utrecht-Strasse" (parallel street to "Reeperbahn"), turn left into "Talstrasse" and then continue immediately right into " Turn into "Schmuckstrasse". Drive along this until you turn left (inconspicuous) into the next entrance, drive through to the end and you go right into the underground car park.
Parking spaces in front of the hotel: We offer additional parking spaces (€ 12.00 per night / car) in the courtyard directly in front of the hotel (please note that the street "Große Freiheit" is closed to cars from 8:00 in the evening until 6:00 in the morning). After a short call to the reception, we will be happy to open the garage door to the hotel for you.

Adapter
For adapters and multiple sockets, please contact our reception staff. We ask for your understanding that we have a limited number of adapters and cannot provide them to all guests at the same time.
Air conditioning
For reasons of environmental protection and the conditions of the building, we decided to attach a heat protection film (to reduce the sun's radiation and heat) to the windows. Air Conditioner is not available. Each room is equipped with a table fan.
Airport and transfer
You can reach the airport with the "S-Bahn" line S1 in about 40 minutes from the "Reeperbahn" stop. The "S-Bahn" stop is within walking distance of our house.
You can reach the airport in around 30 minutes by taxi or your own car. Please note that the journey time depends on the current situation on the streets in Hamburg and can be longer than 30 minutes.
Arriving
By car: You can reach us from the south via the A7 motorway from Hanover and the A1 from Bremen if you follow the signs to "Hamburg Centrum". You will be directed from the Autobahn to “Amsinckstraße”, which will become “Ost-West-Straße” At the "Millerntor" you drive into the "Reeperbahn", at the end of which the "Große Freiheit" branches off to the right.
With the "S-Bahn" you can reach us with the S1 or S3, stop "Reeperbahn". The street “Große Freiheit” is already signposted at the stop of the S-Bahn. Tickets and timetable information can be found online at HVV. The HVV app is perceived as very helpful by tourists and residents.
Plane / train: There are plenty of flight and train connections to Hamburg. At the airport, take the “S-Bahn” S1 to the “Reeperbahn” station.
Please note that the "Große Freiheit" is closed every day from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
ATM
There are various ATMs in the street "Große Freiheit".
Bar
Our hotel bar is located in the lobby at the reception and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Bus Central Station
You can reach the Bus Central Station "ZOB" via the main station with the "S-Bahn" lines S1, S2 and S3 from the "Reeperbahn" stop. The "S-Bahn" stop is within walking distance of our house.

Chargers
A selection of chargers can be borrowed from reception. We ask for your understanding that we have a limited number of chargers and cannot provide them to all guests at the same time.
Check-in and check-out
The room is available from 3:00 p.m. on the day of arrival and until 12:00 a.m. on the day of departure. Internet / WiFi
We offer free internet access for all hotel guests via WiFi with a speed of up to 50 Mbit/s. The speed depends on the number of users and can be slower.
Key
When leaving the hotel or on departure, please hand in your key card at the reception. If you lose your room key, please report to the reception immediately. For a replacement card we have to invoice 20 EUR.
Location
Our "St. Joseph Hotel" is located in the middle of Hamburg - St. Pauli on the most famous side street of the Reeperbahn "Große Freiheit". The "Große Freiheit" is very popular with tourists and locals not only at the weekends. Many bachelor parties, birthdays and other occasions are celebrated here from late evening to early morning. Various discos, bars, night clubs and other establishments invite you! Here you can celebrate, dance, have fun or just linger, relax and unwind.
The St. Joseph Hotel in Hamburg-City has a really excellent location and is the only hotel on the hugely popular entertainment mile "Große Freiheit". So you live in the heart of St. Pauli, the world-famous district of Hamburg, which captivates people from all over the world. Our team will be happy to help you with your free time, because our house is an ideal starting point for many activities on the attractive Hamburg "Kiez".

If you need help with your luggage, please contact the reception. You are welcome to drop off your luggage at the reception for safekeeping.
Minibar
For environmental reasons and to minimize the development of heat, there is no minibar in our hotel rooms. You are welcome to purchase drinks around the clock from the hotel bar. To cool medication, please contact the reception.
Newspapers and journals
A limited selection of newspapers and journals can be borrowed for free in the lobby.

Payment
"St. Joseph Hotel Hamburg - Reeperbahn St. Pauli Kiez“ accepts all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, JCB, UnionPay). Payment with the Maestro EC card or in cash is also possible.
Pets
a pet (cat or dog) up to a maximum of 10 Kg is allowed in the booked room free of charge. A dog from 10 Kg to 40 Kg for an additional charge of 20,00 EURO / night in a booked room. Attack dogs are not allowed!
Please note that out of consideration for other guests, NO pets are allowed in the breakfast room.

Would you like to have a letter, a package, a bouquet of flowers or tickets sent to us at the St. Joseph Hotel before or during your stay? We are happy to accept your parcels or shipments for you. In addition to our hotel name and address, please note your name so that we can assign your shipment directly.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept the following items: cash on delivery items that must be paid for upon acceptance, packages for guests who do not stay with us themselves or for whom there is no reservation, and packages that are picked up by third parties.

Safety is the top priority in our house. Various public areas are CCTV-monitored.
smoke detector
The smoke detectors in our rooms also react to cigarette smoke. For security reasons, we ask that you neither cover nor dismantle the detector in order to avoid a false alarm.
Smoking
The entire hotel is a non-smoking area. In case of violation we have to charge the basic cleaning costs of 350 EUR. Please only smoke outside the building.
Sports
The closest fitness studio is “Sportraum.hamburg” at “Hein-Hoyer-Straße 23”, 20359 Hamburg and can be reached on foot in 5 minutes. You can of course also go jogging: on the Elbe or in the “Planten und Blomen” city park.
